How compressed air filters work:
1. Carry compressed air containing harmful substances such as dust, oil, rust, and water into the first-stage filter device of the compressed air filter.
2. When the compressed air passes through the first-stage cylindrical mesh filter element, a coalescence effect will occur, larger particles will be adsorbed on the filter material, and the water will condense into larger water droplets.
3. When entering the separation chamber, the speed of the compressed air slows down, so that the particles gather again, and the water mist condenses on a honeycomb water trap again.
4. The water carrying impurity particles flows along the bottom to the drainage device, and is discharged through the automatic or electric drainage valve.
5. More than 95% of the water droplets, oil and large particles in the compressed air have been filtered out by the first filter element, and the compressed air filtered by the first stage enters the second stage filter element.
6. When the compressed air passes through the second-stage fiber filter made of special cotton, thousands of small vortices will be generated, and the compressed air will be accelerated dozens of times. The center of the vortex is like a tornado, forming a vacuum state. The water droplets that are not filtered out in the first stage of filtration are vaporized, converted, and filtered again, and at the same time, particles as small as 5 microns are completely removed by the second stage filter.
7. Clean and dry compressed air with no dust, no rust, no oil, and no water droplets can be achieved through two-stage filtration, which ensures the normal operation of pneumatic equipment and prolongs the service life of pneumatic equipment.
Compressed air filter installation principles:
In order to maximize the effectiveness of the product, please select the correct installation position according to the site usage.
1. Please connect the air inlet and air outlet correctly according to the direction marked on the product, and be sure to install vertically.
2. When solving the problem of oil and water in branch pipelines and terminal equipment, it should be as close as possible to the terminal equipment, generally within 7.5 meters.
3. When installing the product in the main pipeline of the air compressor station, it should be at least 10 meters away from the outlet of the air compressor. The lower the temperature of the pipeline, the more suitable for installation. If the air inlet temperature at the installation location is higher than 60°C, it is recommended to install an aftercooler before the filter.
